Chicken Parmesan Macaroni

 


Sundays are all about sauce and macaroni at our house,  This is another great recipe when working in the yard all day.  

  • 1 ½ lbs. boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 6 c sunday sauce or favorite tomato sauce
  • 1 lb. macaroni
  • 3 c shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ¼ c parmesan cheese

Place the chicken into the crockpot, sprinkle with salt and pepper and add the sauce.   Cover and cook on high for four hours or low for six hours, without opening the lid at all.

 A half an hour before the chicken is done, cook the pasta according to the package directions. 

Remove the chicken on to a plate, leaving sauce in cooker, and cut into bite-size pieces and add the chicken back to the sauce.

Place the drained pasta in the slow cooker. Stir. Flatten the pasta into an even layer. Sprinkle with cheeses. Cover for 15 more minutes, or until the cheese has melted.
