Italian Sausage Stuffing




  • 12 oz herb stuffing (homemade or purchased) 
  • ½ c butter
  • 3 c chicken stock
  • 1 lb ground beef 85/15
  • 1 lb sweet Italian sausage without casing

Place the herb stuffing in a large bowl.  Set aside.

Place ground beef in a skillet and cook over medium heat until no longer pink.  Immediately mix into the stuffing in bowl.

Place the sausage in the same skillet and cook over medium heat until thoroughly cooked.  Immediately mix into the stuffing mixture in the bowl.

In a medium sauce pan, heat chicken stock and butter over medium heat until butter melts.  Remove from heat and pour over stuffing mixture in bowl.  Mix with hands, squeezing and mixing the stuffing, ensuring that all stuffing pieces are moist.  Make sure mixture cools completely before stuffing your turkey.  If not stuffing a turkey, this stuffing can be served as is.
