Bourbon Steak Tips
Looking for something quick and delicious? These tips can be served over rice or along side mashed potatoes and a crisp green salad.
- 1 lb. sirloin tips, in one inch pieces
- 3 T olive oil
- salt and pepper to taste
- water
- 3 ozs. bourbon
Place tips to a dutch oven. Add olive oil, salt and pepper and enough
water to just cover the meat. Cover the skillet. Cook over medium-high heat for half an hour
to tenderize the steak. Add more water
as needed. Stir occasionally.
After half an hour, remove the cover. Add a little more olive oil and allow the water to evaporate. Continue to cook until the meat begins to fry in the dutch oven. Once the meat is browned, pour on the bourbon. Bring to a boil and remove from the heat. Serve hot.
