Warm, Gooey, Cinnamon Cake
Warm, gooey and cinnamon, this cake smells incredible baking. Any weekend breakfast is happier with this cake.
- 1½ c butter, room temperature
- 3 c sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1 ½ c sour cream
- 1 t vanilla
- 3 c flour
- 1½ t baking powder
- ¼ t salt
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Grease a 9” x 13” baking pan and set
aside.
Place butter and sugar in a large bowl
and beat. Add eggs, sour cream, and
vanilla and mix well. Add three cups
flour, baking powder, and salt mix until combined. Pour mixture into the prepared pan.
Place the melted butter, brown sugar, flour
and cinnamon in a bowl and mix together. Randomly spoon over the top of the cake and then
swirl it into the batter with a knife. Bake
for forty minutes. Remove from the oven
and glaze with below.
Place the sugar, cream and vanilla in a
small bowl and whisk together. Drizzle
over the cake when it comes out of the oven.
