Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Bars
Oatmeal chocolate chip bars are so good with an ice cold glass of milk or a hot cup of coffee as an afternoon snack.
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Grease a 9x13 baking pan and set aside.
Place the oatmeal, flour, brown sugar,
sugar, baking soda, salt, canola oil, egg and vanilla in a large bowl and mix
to combine. Stir in the chocolate chips,
press the dough into the prepared baking pan bake for five minutes. Remove from the oven. Do not turn off the oven.
Spread the coconut over crust and then sprinkle milk chocolate chips, butterscotch chips and dark chocolate chips over
coconut. Drizzle the sweetened
condensed milk all over the chips and sprinkle with the cashews. Return to the oven for twenty-five minutes. Remove from the oven and drizzle with melted butterscotch and chocolate chips. Cool
at room temperature for a couple hours before cutting.
- 1 ¼ c oatmeal
- 1 c flour
- ¼ c brown sugar
- ¼ c sugar
- ½ t baking soda
- ½ t salt
- ½ c canola oil
- 1 large egg
- 2 t vanilla
- ½ c mini chocolate chips
- 1 1/2 c shredded coconut
- ½ c milk chocolate chips
- ½ c dark chocolate chips
- 1 c butterscotch chips
- 14 ozs sweetened condensed milk
- 1 c cashews, chopped
- melted chocolate and butterscotch chips for drizzling
