Gingerbread


Gingerbread warm out of the oven with a fresh whipped cream sprinkled with a dash of nutmeg is absolutely delicious!

  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup dark maple syrup
  • 1 tsp. ginger
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. baking powder

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Grease a bread pan and set aside.

Place egg, sour cream and syrup in a bowl and beat together.    In a separate bowl, place the remaining ingredients and add to the wet ingredients.  Pour into prepared pan and bake for one hour or until toothpick test comes clean.
